Good blog. I wouldn't be surprised if Montreal tried to get subban, just so it gives pk a reason to stay

Seen Subban many a time, all 3, Jordan does look really small on the ice..be worth a look though, whats he listed at 5'9? looks alot smaller

I also heard from some of the local supporters his attitude isnt the best, kinda the same stuff PK gets ragged on about

Listed at 5'9" I believe. But he's a good player, as you've probably seen.

Hes got serious skills, im guessing he looked small because HE was the smallest on the ice, but the Bulls had a pretty big team, and the one game against the Grey Hounds really stands out, but when i go over the roster, no wonder why they have a couple of monsters on that roster, plus its not like the kids gonna get any smaller, be a steal in the 2nd round

Todd-What about Ryan Hartman at no. 39? Seems ideal for the Devils with his grit, leadership, and scoring ability.

I think Hartman is an ideal pick for the Canucks, and should be around when they pick at 24. That being said, he'd be an amazing 2nd round pick. I still have no idea how Matt Finn fell to 35 last year so I wouldn't be shocked if a guy like Hartman would be around at 39.

I highly doubt he's there at 39. I have him 25th.

I'm with you on Finn. I had him early-to-mid 20's last year, I believe.

Todd great write up! This pick is just as critical for us as the first, this is a deep draft and we really need to add more then one guy with high upside. Any chance Morgan Klimchuk is there at 39? I do not know much about him or if he would if even be a good fit for us. But i like guys who aren't on the best team but still put up good numbers.

Klimchuk is good but I don't think he''ll be available which is why he didn't make the list. He may be, though.

Kind of figured that hopefully he does. Be nice if we could add some more picks or even move up but i find it highly unlikely Lou is able to do that.

ya the Devils are getting lucky with the option to pick what year to give up the pick, I highly doubt they draft this low next year

Good blog Todd. I think they would all be great options. Even though we have a plethora of D prospects, Subban would give us something we don't really have in all those prospects, and thats a offensive dman that can rush the puck. Do you think that de la Rose will be there in the second round? Bob Mackenzie had him really high, but it seems like rankings are all over the place this year.

You have to wonder that if Jordan Subban is so much like PK, and PK might well win the Norris this year, why wouldn't he be ranked higher?

You don't have to be big to play big. I suppose not all teams out there want to wait three years.

Probably won't be much smaller than Rafalski when he fills out.

false. void. nope. we're unlucky to be the one team out of MANY teams that did the same exact thing, to LOSE A FIRST ROUND PICK. not a fine.. but a loss of a FIRST ROUND pick. all in efforts to make a point. the NHL couldn't think of a more fair and sensible way to do that than to give our future a hit. very nice. point made. good job NHL.

I think at this point the picks from like #5 onward are essentially going to be teams preferences for guys. I can see a lot of consensus 2nd rounders end up being taken in the 1st
